Maternal Immunity Transfer of Zebrafish (Danio rerio) following Vaccination with a Live-Attenuated Vibrio harveyi Vaccine

چکیده
Vibriosis causes a major setback in the marine aquaculture industry. In controlling vibriosis, vaccination of broodstock could help transferring initial immunity to fry and perhaps giving them during culture period. This study determines efficacy three live-attenuated Vibrio harveyi vaccine (LAVh) derivatives on zebrafish providing immunological protection their offspring against pathogenic spp. Zebrafish were vaccinated intraperitoneally with full effective dose (ED80) monitored for 14 weeks. On week 6, specimens (i.p.) challenged 107 CFU/ml spp., subsequently another batch was left spawn. Thereafter, antibody level larvae 4 weeks post-hatching. Groups juvenile given booster via immersion (1 × CFU/mL) vaccines similar predecessor. The fish sampled weekly four determine profile pro-inflammatory gene expression. Finally, at 3, strains Results profiling adult model indicated that freeze-dried stale LAVh delivers longer protective duration, while FKVh group failed provide V. alginolyticus. However, expression interleukin 1β (IL-1β) elevated than group. Nevertheless, relative percent survival (RPS) both groups displayed 100% immunity. Overall, found confer maternal immune its offspring, long duration cross-protection coverage have shelf life. It is proposed be commercially available farmers protect infection.

Danio Rerio, the Zebrafish
The zebrafish has long been a favourite model for the study of vertebrate development. Here we provide an overview of the current state of knowledge and resources for the study of this fish, with comments on the future direction of zebrafish genomics from Professor Mark Fishman and Dr Stephen Wilson.
متن کاملBIOLOGY OF ZEBRAFISH, Danio rerio
Zebrafish, Danio rerio (Hamilton), is one of the most important vertebrate model organism in genetics, developmental biology, neurophysiology and biomedicine (Rubinstein, 2003; Amsterdam and Hopkins, 2006). It is a small, robust fish, so large numbers can be kept easily and cheaply in the laboratory, where it breeds all year round. Development is rapid, with precursors to all major organs devel...
متن کاملMaternal Transfer and Protective Role of the Alternative Complement Components in Zebrafish Danio rerio
Embryos of most fish develop externally and are exposed to an aquatic environment full of potential pathogens, whereas they have little or only limited ability to mount an efficient and protective response. How fish embryos survive pathogenic attacks remains poorly defined. Here we demonstrate that the maternal immunization of female zebrafish with formalin-killed Aeromonas hydrophila causes a ...
متن کاملHistopathological evaluation of zebrafish (Danio rerio) larvae following embryonic exposure to MgO nanoparticles
The aim of this study was to investigate the histopathological changes in zebrafish larvae following embryonic exposure to nanoparticles of magnesium oxide (MgONPs). The toxicity of metal oxide nanoparticles is attracting increasing attention. Among these nanomaterials, MgONPs are particularly interesting as a low cost and environmentally-friendly material. Histological investigations are used ...
